December Birthdays

This is a very busy time of year for everyone, but we took a little time to go celebrate a birthday for one of the activity day leaders. There's 3 of us. Toni Diaz had her birthday on the 16th and so we went to lunch. This year we did a burger place called Burger Ranch over by Kennewick High School and it was pretty good. I spilled some ice-cold water on myself, but I was just glad it was water and not pop!

Me, Glenna Gale, Toni Diaz

Sunday the 21st was our Christmas Sacrament meeting. Charlotte, Jack and I all participated in the ward choir and sang 3 songs. Jack also performed a song on his trumpet along with another friend from school band who is also a member of the church. It was the first time we had ever heard a horn played for a Sacrament meeting, but they did so well, and it worked. The song they picked was "Angels We Have Heard on High". I think that was a first for most of the people in the congregation. Charlotte and Alice also sang one song with the primary. Again, it was Charlotte's last time because she'll be moving up to young women's. I can hardly believe it!

The program for our Sacrament meeting.

Alice's birthday was on Monday the 22nd. We broke with tradition and opened her gifts in the morning after a special breakfast. Then she could play with her stuff all day. After dinner, we finally sang to her and did the cake and ice cream. We also had Elise and her son over for dinner and played a game of Pig Spoons before doing the cake.

Celebrating Alice and Curtis's birthdays.

We haven't had it in a while, so it was time for the Vegemite again for his birthday snack.

And Alice got Kit Kat bars.

Sage loved the smell of Vegemite. She tore open the bag it was in Saturday night trying to get into it. So funny! (We learned last night that Coco also likes the smell. I wonder what it is that they like about it.)

Accessories for her doll from Charlotte.

And more accessories.

Pajamas for her doll. Charlotte helped pick out all of the doll items.

Her first electric scooter. It was a nice day for riding.

Her friend made her the letter "A" and the Gale's gave her Uno Flip and some goodies.
